Interfaith Evening 2008

Tuesday 4th March 2008 marked a significant day for the members of MTO Sufi Society. Believers from various faith groups were invited to take part in an Interfaith Evening presented by MTO Shahmaghsoudi. Christians, Jews, Muslims, Zoroastrians and Buddhists came together to show unity, and to present that all religions are saying the same thing.

The evening started with MTO Shahmaghsoudi providing the audience with a talk about Sufism and the history of MTO. A lecture given by Hazrat Mir Ghotbeddin Mohammad Angha was read in English as well as two Zekr performances.

Other programmes presented included dances by Fo Guang Shan Temple, Choir performances from St. John’s Hyde Park, Hymn recitations from The Zoroastrian Trust Fund of Europe and songs from Kol Nefesh Masorti. Guests were invited to a delicious canapé selection and a chance to browse through MTO books.
