Sufism

What is Sufism?

In one way or another every individual in society is looking for love, peace and overall stability. However, the way individuals go about this journey vary in many different ways. Some turn to material wealth, some to career success, others turn to culture, family and so on. The one thing all these factors have in common is that they are situated outside ourselves, it is what society dictates to us. But the truth is that these institutes do not hold the stability that we are looking for. As a result we end up losing our aims and goals and are led on to a road of depression, anxiety, addiction and illness.

Sufism is a discipline that teaches self-knowledge in order to fulfil and perform one’s true potential. “If each person is trained to stand on his or her own strength, will they be needy? Will they not see their own uniqueness and the strength that this uniqueness brings? If each person is trained to develop his or her own talents and abilities, will there be any room for insecurity, jealousy or envy? Will they be lacking anything? Will they need to compete with any-one?”

Sufism completes humanity’s education. It answers ultimate questions about who you are, where you come from, and where you are going. It unchains you from your cave and allows you to cognize the reality underlying all of existence and to learn how to use wisely the riches already bestowed on you by existence.
